My approach is integrative, which is honest for saying that no single model is up to the task of a human life. What that looks like in practice: we start with where you are, we follow what's alive for you, and I bring the frameworks that help - not the ones I happen to prefer.

What we're actually doing

Therapy with me is about pattern recognition in slow motion. Together we notice what you do in relationships, in work, in your own head, and what that pattern is trying to solve for. Once you can see it, it stops running you.

That's not quick work. It's also not mysterious. I'll tell you what I'm noticing and why. You'll push back. We'll refine it. That's the engine.

Frameworks I draw on

Attachment-based therapy

How you learned to connect - and protect - as a kid still shapes how you do both now. We make that conscious so it stops being automatic.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

The part of you that wants rest and the part of you that keeps working aren't contradictions - they're both doing a job. IFS is a way of meeting them instead of picking sides.

Somatic awareness

Your nervous system has been running on a budget for years. Some of the work has to happen in your body, not just your thoughts. We'll make room for both.

Depth & psychodynamic thinking

I take seriously that the stuff you don't want to look at is usually the stuff that matters. I won't be precious about it, but we'll go there.

What sessions look like

Fifty minutes, usually weekly to start. We talk. Sometimes we pause so you can notice what's happening in your body. Sometimes I'll offer a frame; sometimes I'll shut up for longer than feels comfortable so you can hear yourself. There are no worksheets.

What sessions aren't

Coaching. Venting. Problem-solving in the narrow sense. Advice you could get from a good book. If you're looking for quick, tactical work on a specific skill - I'm probably not the right fit, and I'll tell you in the consult.

"Depth therapy isn't for everyone. It's for the people who've noticed the surface-level stuff isn't working anymore."

On privacy

I take privacy seriously, especially for clients whose careers or reputations depend on discretion. I'm a private-pay practice, so there's no insurance record of what we work on. Records are stored on a HIPAA-compliant platform. This website does not use advertising trackers, Facebook pixels, or Google Analytics - because sensitive information deserves better than that.
